About this work
Utrillo painted Montmartre again and again — he was born there, grew up there, and never managed to leave. In his "white period" he mixed plaster, sand and glue into the white paint so the house walls would feel like real walls.
Rami Alon made the two Utrillo works back to back in September and October 2012, at almost identical dimensions.
